04/04/06 - Jeff Barr of Amazon Web Services to Speak at this Year's Event

CSW Group Ltd are delighted to welcome guest speaker, Jeff Barr of Amazon Web Services to the XML Summer School this year. Jeff will be speaking on the ‘Web Services and Service Architectures’ course, presenting a real-world case study, describing real-life scenarios, progress to date in rolling out newly architected solutions, and the choices and constraints he has have faced in doing so.

Jeff Barr is an Evangelist of Amazon Web Services who is focusing his time furthering awareness among software developers of the opportunity to innovate and build businesses using Amazon Web Services. Jeff has a longstanding interest in Web services and programmatic information interchange.

The Web Services and Service Architecture Track will discuss the potential benefits of using web services and SOA for new and existing applications; review the relevant protocols and technologies that provide interoperability across platforms; and discuss challenges that may arise, all with a real-world focus.

15/02/06 - 2006 Curriculum has been released

More information about this year's curriculum for the XML Summer School 2006 has been released.

The curriculum offers delegates the opportunity to learn about XML technology and its application. Whatever your stage of learning there is something for you; beginners through to experts. The curriculum consists of three tracks:

Each track covers many topics from Hands on Introduction to XML, Ontologies, XQuery, Schemas, XML for Drug Information, Semantic Web, Web Services, ULB, then relax through to the hot trends in XML and beyond.

14/11/05 - Summer School 2006 Website Re-design launched

Today CSW Group Ltd are pleased to announce the launch of the newly re-designed XML Summer School 2006 website.

The re-design includes a new logo to reinforce a more modern and innovative image that is more in line with the technologies the Summer School that are being taught at the XML Summer School.

Kerry Poulter, Marketing & Events Executive at CSW says:

"We were looking to update the website by introducing a fresher theme. We wanted to keep it simple but maintain its effectiveness - I feel we have achieved that and more. I am extremely happy with the result".
