Curriculum
The XML Summer School has an established faculty of Track Chairs who are instrumental in designing and implementing the curriculum offered to the delegates each year. The curriculum runs with three tracks

Introductory Track - appropriate for newcomers or delegates that want to brush up on their skills before moving onto more advanced courses on the other tracks. The Introductory track for 2008 will include:
- XML Primer
- Hands on Introduction to XML
- Additonal Seminars TBC
- Foundations Track - offers an opportunity to explore topics in more detail, guided by world renowned speakers. Aimed at a more technical audience, courses last one/two days. The track provides a platform to talk with industry experts and other delegates with similar interests or problems. The foundation topics will include:
- Applications Track - focuses on the use of XML and related technologies in specific market sectors. Aimed at delegates who need to apply the latest tools, techniques, systems and thinking in industry focused settings. This track is aimed at all levels; presentations will include real world examples, experiences with some technical content. The application topics will include:
XML Summer School seminars combine formal presentations, practical hands-on exercises, interactive tutorial sessions and panel discussions.
The curriculum offers the opportunity to learn about XML technology and its application at many different levels. Whatever your stage of learning there is something to suit everyone; beginners through to experts. Indeed, many of our delegates return in subsequent years to continue their professional development.
No matter your level of background knowledge, if you need to learn all there is to know about XML and related technologies, then the XML Summer School is the place for you.
How to choose your seminars
You can select to attend individual seminars or you can choose to attend the whole week with a Full Summer School Package.
Packages are available for all seminars over one day in length, prices include all day time meals and refreshments, accommodation plus all evening meals and excursions, starting the evening before the course starts. See Prices for further details.
The Full Seminar Package allows you to build your own programme of seminars across the week. You can follow a particular track for the full week or combine seminars from different tracks to suit your interests. The delegate fee includes a welcome reception on Sunday afternoon, 5 nights accommodation at Wadham College (arriving Sunday and departing Friday).
