Applications
of XML in Healthcare - 30th-31st July
With its ability to unite clinical data and medical knowledge
bases in a single representational structure, the eXtensible Markup
Language (XML) is beginning to make a significant impact on the
way healthcare information systems are developed and deployed.
In the UK, it is increasingly being used throughout government
through the e-Gov initiative and has been formally adopted by
the NHS Standards Board with the e-Government Interoperability
Framework (e-GIF). Understanding how XML could affect your organisation
is important to almost everyone working to meet the vision set
out in the National IT Programme for the NHS.
This two-day workshop is designed
specifically for healthcare IT professionals, planners and managers
who need to understand the current state of the art and strategic
thinking on how to apply XML in a healthcare setting. Your two-day
pass also includes the welcome reception, a formal conference
dinner and two nights accommodation on the 29th & 30th July
in Wadham College at the University
of Oxford.
