Due
to parking limitations in Oxford, we advise delegates to arrive
at Wadham College by train or other public transport if possible.
Wadham College is very centrally
located (see map below) on the corner of Parks
Road and Broad Street, directly opposite the Bodleian library.
The college is within 10 minutes walk from the central bus station
and the main shopping areas. The City Circle electric bus stops
close to Wadham and provides a frequent service (about every 12
mins) covering all of the city centre.
The college has no parking facilities
for visitors and parking is very difficult within the city centre.
There are only a few Pay & Display spaces available right outside
the main gate of Wadham College and overnight parking is not very
safe. You are strongly recommended to make use of the Park &
Ride facilities.
Air:
The most convenient arrival airport is London Heathrow, from which
there is a frequent express coach service to Oxford. London Gatwick
is a little further, but again there is direct coach service to
and from Oxford. Birmingham International has a less frequent coach
and rail connection with Oxford.
Rail:
There are frequent direct trains from London Paddington to Oxford
and regular links to other mainline stations across the country.
The station in Oxford is a 15 minute walk from the city centre.
There is a taxi rank at the station. For timetable information,
please see www.nationalrail.co.uk.
Coach:
There are very frequent services from London's
Victoria Station, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports to Oxford. A
rather less frequent service connects with Birmingham International
airports. The central bus and coach depot (Gloucester Green) is
in the city centre. For coach information, please see The
Oxford Bus Company.
On
arrival at Wadham College, please report to the Lodge
who will direct you to CSW's registration office and your accommodation.
